Checking hours…
For a first-time script, yes — South African law requires us to hold the original. Once it is registered with us, repeats can be requested by WhatsApp or phone and we will dispense from the copy on file until the script expires.
Nothing for local delivery. That covers Reservoir Hills, Clare Estate, Sydenham, Sherwood and most of Westville. Further afield we charge a small flat fee — phone us and we will quote you before dispatch.
For many minor ailments, yes. Our pharmacists hold a Primary Care Drug Therapy qualification, which allows us to assess and treat a defined list of common conditions and to dispense Schedule 0 to 2 medicines directly.
Anything outside that scope, or anything that worries us, gets a referral letter and an honest recommendation to see a doctor.
We tell you at the counter, before you pay, and explain why — benefits exhausted, chronic authorisation missing, or a formulary substitution needed. In most cases we can call the scheme there and then, or switch you to an equivalent generic that is covered.
We are closed on Sundays. Public holidays vary — please phone us on 031 830 3992 before travelling, and we will post reduced hours on our Instagram page in advance.
If you are going to run out of chronic medicine over a long weekend, tell us a few days early and we will make sure you have enough to see you through.
Always. Patient records are confidential under the Pharmacy Act and are processed in line with POPIA. We never discuss a patient's medicine at the front counter, and we will never share your details with anyone but your medical scheme and prescriber.
Swipe your card and walk out. No forms, no waiting for a refund, no paying up front on most benefit options.

Scheme not listed? Ask us — we claim from most South African medical schemes.
